Tom Brady was born on August 3rd, 1977 in San Mateo, California. He was raised in a Catholic family along with his three older sisters Maureen, Nancy, and Julie by parents Galynn Patricia Brady and Tom Brady, Sr.
The Younger Years
As a child, Tom was first attracted to football after regularly attending San Francisco 49ers games with his father during the 1980s. Tom idolized the late Joe Montana and has since stated that Joe was one of the primary reasons that he was so driven to be a quarterback himself.
Tom played college football during all four years of his tenure at the University of Michigan, the first two of which he was a backup to future NFL star Brian Griese. It was a trying time for the young player, as he was not seen as a standout athlete.
